Alconost: Bird of Happiness Continues Its Festival Journey!

Voronezh Animation Studio’s short animated film The Giver of Happiness has been selected for the competition program of the 34th Window to Europe Russian Film Festival, taking place in Vyborg, Russia, from August 4–9, 2026.

The project was produced with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

The festival screening of Alconost: Bird of Happiness will take place on August 7. The film will be presented by its director and creative producer, Dmitry Sokolov.

For Voronezh Animation Studio, participation in the Window to Europe Film Festival is an opportunity to showcase the film to both audiences and industry professionals at one of Russia’s leading national film festivals.

Founded in 1993, the Window to Europe Film Festival is one of Russia’s longest-running film events, annually presenting outstanding achievements in national cinema. The festival’s competition traditionally features three categories: feature films, documentaries, and animation.
