Voronezh Animation Studio's new projects at the III Global Digital Trade Expo
Vladimir Nikolaev, General Producer of Voronezh Animation Studio, is presenting new studio projects and technologies at the III Global Digital Trade Expo, which takes place from September 25 to 29 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The event is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province.
The exhibition area is 150,000 square meters, which includes one extensive exhibition area and eight specialized areas of the digital industry with sectors of e-commerce, artificial intelligence, smart cities, and the digital content industry. More than 1,500 companies take part in the exhibition, including more than 300 foreign companies and more than 30,000 professional buyers.
As part of the exhibition, Voronezh Animation Studio presents its ongoing projects: the animated series ‘Arctic Heroes’, the plot of which is based on the adventures of school kids rescuing a real living and intelligent baby mammoth found in the Arctic ice. The heroes help the Baby Mammoth to escape from an obsessed scientist and set off together on an exciting journey to uncover the mystery of its origin.
The project is being developed with the support of the Internet Development Institute and in collaboration with Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. The plot of the cartoon will show the audience Russia's achievements in the Arctic, advanced developments and technologies of the corporation, and the advantages of the Northern Sea Route. The universe of the project provides unique opportunities for co-production with China.
Among the studio's new projects is an animated film for a teenage audience "The Steel Family", which was released on Kinopoisk platform. The project has earned a high rating of 8.6 and secured a place in the platform’s top-150. Work on the second season is already in progress, the release is scheduled for 2026.
