The “Arctic Heroes” Project Shortlisted for the Third National Film Award “Heroes of a Big Country”
The animated project “Arctic Heroes”, created by Voronezh Animation Studio and produced with the support of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Institute for Internet Development” and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, has been shortlisted for the Third National Film Award “Heroes of a Big Country”.
“Heroes of a Big Country” is an annual national film award honoring screen projects that shape the image of heroes, contribute to the upbringing and education of young people, promote traditional values, and respond to modern global challenges.
The project successfully passed two stages of selection among 532 submitted film projects. The first stage focused on the project's technical and production merits, while the second stage examined the depth of its storytelling and character development. These criteria proved decisive in securing a place on the shortlist, which comprises 55 projects.
The project now faces another crucial stage: in the winter–spring of 2026, the shortlisted works will be screened for a youth audience in order to identify their strengths and successful creative solutions. This process will make it possible to single out those projects that can truly become symbols of new heroes for a big country.
The festival results and the winners will be announced on February 5–6, 2026.
