A Meeting with Magic: Creators of Alconost: Bird of Happiness Meet Young Audiences

A series of creative meetings with the creators of the new animated film Alconost: Bird of Happiness, produced by Voronezh Animation Studio, took place at the Emerald City Kindergarten (Mega Kindergarten), the D. V. Venevitinov Museum-Estate, the Oldenburg Palace Complex, the Trajectory Educational Center (School No. 102), and School No. 107 in Voronezh. The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture of the Voronezh Region.

The events brought together preschool children, school students, teachers, and parents. The filmmakers introduced audiences to Alconost: Bird of Happiness, an animated adaptation of How the Brothers Searched for Happiness, a fairy tale by renowned storyteller Anna Baryshnikova from the Ramonsky District of the Voronezh Region. The film introduces young viewers to the author’s literary legacy and the cultural traditions of the region.

During the meetings, the creators shared the story behind the project, discussed the development of the plot and characters, and revealed fascinating details about the animation production process.

Children showed particular interest in learning about careers in animation, the stages of creating animated films, and the work of a modern animation studio. The filmmakers explained how an idea evolves into a finished film, how characters are designed, and how an animated project progresses from concept to screen.

These events help children and teenagers discover creative professions, gain insight into the world of animation, and inspire their own artistic ambitions.

At the conclusion of each meeting, the creators invited audiences to attend the premiere of Alconost: Bird of Happiness as part of MULT in Cinema, Issue No. 196: Summer Tall Tales.
